The Rock

I made the 3-D version of the lighthouse after the first drawn version that became 'The Black Hut'. My thought was to better understand the tangle of scaffold poles in my original source photos.

It became an autonomous work during the making.

I came to like the whole presentation in which each section was made from different materials according to their function. The clean display plinth contrasted with the rough and wavy scaffold plank. The heavy lump of igneous rock located the light house in its precarious position and made the intricate man-made light and scaffold all the more vulnerable.
