Northern Light

The Northern Light series were inspired by a scaffolded, small and shore based lighthouse which I saw in the Netherlands. I transferred the idea to a Scottish Stephenson lighthouse. I was interested in the integration of two opposing structures in which the powerful granite lighthouse seemed to be captured by the delicate web of the scaffold.
