I made the 3-D version of the lighthouse after the first drawn version that became 'The Black Hut'. My thought was to better understand the tangle of scaffold poles in my original source photos.

It became an autonomous work during the making.

I came to like the whole presentation in which each section was made from contrasting materials according to its function. The clean display plinth contrasted with the rough and wavy scaffold plank. The heavy lump of igneous rock located the light house in its precarious position and made the lighthouse and intricate scaffold appear all the more vulnerable.
