2012 – Rabley Drawing Centre, Wiltshire
The work is a description of the essential elements of a classical ruin. This version arose as an outcome of negotiations with custodians at the Scottish National Gallery. Technical requirements restricted the concept that I originally had. The talks were fruitful however helping to refine the piece and allowing me to say with assurance that the piece is a response to the neo-classical tradition of the building.
It was later re-shown in the landscape the Wiltshire Downs where, in spite of the obvious discrepancies, it looked a more authentic and romantic ruin.
